Kiev Shogi Club invites you to take part in " Nezalezhnist Open - 2016" tournament, dated to The Independence Day.
The event will take place from 27th to 28th August in Kiev (Ukraine), in Kiev Shogi Club (Street Polovetskaya, 14).
Tournament rules: 6 round Mac-Mahon system with 8 players top group
Time control: 30 minutes basic time for each player + byo-yomi: 1 minute per move
Dear Shogi friends,
here's the schedule of Odessa Shogi Open tournament, that will take place in Ukraine, Odessa, from 25th till 28th June 2016.
Place : Primorskiy boulevard, 1, Odessa Municipal Youth Art Palace
Tournament rules: 9 round Mac-Mahon system (if less than 16 players - Swiss system)
Time control: 30 minutes basic time for each player + byo-yomi: 1 minute per move
Special rules:
1) In case of sennichite the party will be replayed immediately with 10 minutes for each player time control (with no byo-yomi).
2) In case of zishogi the points will be countered according to "27-point Declare System". The player who has less than 27 points, loses (or the declarer loses in case if any one of the "27-point Declare System" conditions is broken). If both players have 27 points, White wins.
(Rook and bishop worthes 5 points each, king worthes 0 points, other pieces - 1 point each)
These two cases can be fixed only by tournament’s judge.

200 UAH (~8Є),
25% discount (~6Є) for participants - Odessa Shogi Club members
free for participants under 16

9-00 - 10-00 registration
10-00 - 15-00 - pair/team/handicap tournament (20 min+1min byo-yomi)*
(*- will be held if 4 or more teams/pairs are in play; separately reduced fee 50 UAH/2Є for each member),
16-00- 18-00 - blith (7 min absolute)
26 June (Sunday):
9-00 - 1 tour,
11-00 - 2 tour,
14-00 - 3 tour
27 June (Monday):
9-00 - 4 tour
11-00 - 5 tour,
14-00 - 6 tour,
28 June (Tuesday):
9-00 - 7 tour
11-00 - 8 tour
14-00 - 9 tour
16-00 - closing, prizegiving ceremony
Prize giving:
The players, that took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in tournament, will be awarded diplomas, medals and worthy prizes.
Placement criteria (ranged in decreasing importance):
- MMS
- SOS
- SODOS
- the result of the party between the players.
In case all this criteria are still equal against the players in prize giving group, the additional competition will be judged between those players. Conditions of that competition will be settled by the tournament’s judge.
All expenses for players’ participating in the tournament are charged from sending organizations.
